Nick Hawes reveals: this really surprised me

It’s hard to believe it’s almost been a month since our new colleague, Nick Hawes, started his adventure at Red Cactus as Channel Partner and Solutions Manager in the UK. It’s high time to get an update from him.

Culture
In my first few weeks, I’ve already experienced how committed Red Cactus is to a culture of inclusion, responsibility, transparency, and an active mindset. Great products (which we have!) are not enough; it’s the company and the people you work with every day that truly matter. There is an immense drive to continuously be the best in every aspect, even in areas that are invisible to the outside world, such as the infrastructure. At Red Cactus, it’s not about following what competitors are doing and developing; it’s about trusting our own vision and strengths.

Partner Channel
This clearly impacts how partners view Red Cactus. From day one, I noticed how partners place their full trust in Red Cactus as a reliable partner to achieve success together. Conversations with partners aren’t about bugs or technical issues—the technology is simply solid. The most impressive part is how they seem to view this as the norm. Instead, discussions focus on commercial opportunities, feature requests (which are incredibly fast-tracked), and ways to deliver real added value to our partners' customers.

Technology
What’s also really impressed me is the technical side of Red Cactus. The product development capabilities of the integration tool Bubble are truly remarkable. What stands out is that everyone in the company, regardless of their role, contributes significantly to that development. There’s a clear allergy to legacy systems within Red Cactus. Before anything is implemented, they plan 10 steps ahead to ensure development is done in a future-proof way, and this is reflected in how the infrastructure is structured. This approach enables an impressive ability to develop new integrations for both telephony platforms and CRM applications. Moreover, improvements—big and small—are quickly addressed (there’s a new release every month!) and rolled out across all tools, while there’s also a strong focus on the future with innovative products and features.

Role
For me, it’s clear: I’m in the right place, and I’m incredibly excited by what I’ve seen and experienced so far. I’ve already spoken with several partners and look forward to meeting many more in the near future. With my role and enthusiasm, my goal is to help you as a partner become even more successful in delivering added value through CRM integrations for your customers. I will do this by providing technical and sales support, sharing regular updates, and ensuring that the excellent documentation provided by Red Cactus is always up-to-date and readily available. In short, I’m here for you, and together, we will make this a great success!
